Bantams Breaking Barriers
Home of all things disability at Bradford City FC

Team Info

Short Breaks Disability Football training sessions have been running since 2011 and are funded by Bradford Council, the sessions are for children with disabilities aged 8-18.

Our short breaks sessions have recently moved and for the summer (from Tuesday 1st August) these sessions will run concurrently with our adults and ladies sessions on;

- Tuesdays 5pm till 7pm at Bradford Academy, Teesdale Street, BD4 7QJ

- Thursdays 6pm till 8pm at Dixons Allerton Academy, Oaks Lane Community Entrance.

Short breaks also offer carers respite and disabled members opportunities to develop independence. A short break can be as simple as a two hour trip to the local cinema to a short break holiday or international tournament. This year examples include stadium visits to Premiership teams, weekly provision of tickets to watch Bradford City, day/weekend outings to theme parks, Cadbury’s world and of course Wembley.

These are not all football related, these are aimed at providing respite and supporting social needs, building and developing relationships.
